Patient videos — real people who flew to us for dental treatment
Watch patients from Australia, France, and elsewhere talk about veneers, implants, and smile makeovers at Picasso Dental Clinic — plus a tour of our sterilisation room. Filmed and published by us.
Picasso filmed and published these videos. They are clinic marketing, not independent reviews, and the patients shown are not New Zealand residents.

Is Dental Treatment In Vietnam Safe? Watch Our Sterilisation Room
These are the videos we have. They are not a substitute for the numbers — if you want to know what your own case costs, the NZD pricing page and the free quote form will get you there faster than any video will.
What to watch for
When you watch dental tourism videos — ours or anyone else’s — the useful signals are specific rather than emotional:
- Does the patient name the material? A patient who says “Emax Press veneers” learnt that from a written quote. A patient who says “porcelain” may not have been told.
- Does the video show the planning stage? Scans, design sittings, and CBCT review are where clinical quality is decided. Videos that jump straight to the reveal skip the part that matters.
- Is the timeline realistic? Veneer cases genuinely take five to seven days. A video implying a full smile makeover happened in an afternoon is compressed for the edit.
- What is not shown? No clinic publishes its complications. Read our honest risks page alongside these videos, not instead of them.
Where the independent reviews live
We do not embed reviews on this site that we cannot verify against a third-party platform, and we do not publish an aggregate star rating, because our rating is split across six Google Business Profile listings plus Facebook and Trustpilot. Our reviews page lists every branch profile and explains how we respond to negative reviews — publicly, within 48 business hours, with the reviewing clinician named.
Next steps
If a video has moved you closer to a decision, the next step is arithmetic, not more video. Send six phone photos through the free quote form and we will return an itemised New Zealand dollar plan naming brands, warranty periods, and trip length — including an honest recommendation to stay home if your case does not justify the airfare.
Useful answers
Frequently asked questions
Are these videos independent reviews?
No. We filmed, edited, and published every video on this page on our own YouTube channel, which makes them first-party marketing rather than independently verified reviews. Patients consented to appear and were not paid for their appearance, but we controlled the edit. For reviews we do not control, each of our six branches carries its own Google Business Profile with platform-verified reviews, and we also appear on Facebook and Trustpilot. See our reviews page for how to find those and how we respond to negative ones.
Are any of these patients from New Zealand?
Not yet. The patients in these videos travelled from Australia, Paris, and other countries, or live in Vietnam as expatriates. We publish the origin on every video card rather than leaving it vague, because implying these were Kiwi patients would be misleading. The Australian patient's video is the closest comparison to the New Zealand decision — Australia has a similar private dental fee structure and a similar flight time to Vietnam.
Why does the Australian patient video matter to a New Zealand patient?
Australian private dental fees sit in a comparable band to New Zealand fees, and the flight from eastern Australia to Vietnam is roughly comparable in cost and duration to a flight from Auckland with one stop. The arithmetic that patient walks through — treatment saving versus airfare, accommodation, and time off work — is the same arithmetic a New Zealand patient runs. The absolute numbers differ, so use our NZD pricing page and savings calculator for your own case.
Can I speak to a patient who has had treatment?
We cannot pass on patient contact details, because doing so would breach the medical privacy we owe every patient. What we can do is arrange a video consultation with the named clinician who would treat you, before you commit to anything, so you can ask clinical questions directly. Request that through the free quote form or by WhatsApp.
How were these videos verified?
Each video on this page links to the original on our official YouTube channel, where you can see the upload date, view count, and comments. The titles and durations shown on this page are pulled directly from YouTube metadata rather than rewritten by us. If a title on this page differs from the title on YouTube, the YouTube version is authoritative.
